MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611073225 A) filed by Poornima University; Abhilasha Khandelwal; and Aditya Sharma on June 12, 2026, for System And Method For Carbon Dioxide Emission Estimation And Sustainability Recommendation.

Inventors include Abhilasha Khandelwal; and Aditya Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for carbon dioxide emission estimation and sustainability recommendation using advanced data processing and generative reasoning techniques. The system receives user-specific activity data in structured and unstructured forms and processes the data using natural language processing to extract contextual attributes such as activity type, duration, and resource consumption. These attributes are converted into numerical vector representations and stored in a vector storage unit along with associated emission parameters. A similarity-based retrieval operation is performed to obtain relevant emission records, which are aggregated into a contextual dataset. Based on this dataset, a generative processing unit produces sustainability recommendations along with corresponding emission reduction insights. The system further computes baseline emission values and predicted reductions and generates comparative outputs for user interpretation.
