Method includes converting (1006) video signals to common internal pixel representation based on video signal parameters. Method includes performing (1008) resolution-transformation on converted video signals by applying interpolation and/or decimation to produce scaled-video signal at target-output resolution. Method includes adapting (1010) frame-rate of scaled-video signal to target-output frame-rate by buffering and selectively reading video-frames to produce frame-rate-adapted video signal; and synchronizing (1012) frame-rate-adapted video signal to reference synchronization signal to produce harmonized video signal aligned to common timing-reference. Method includes applying (1014) picture-transformation to harmonized video signal to produce processed video signal; and simultaneously generating (1016) analog and digital cockpit-video output from processed video signal.
