MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641073858 A) filed by Sr University on June 15, 2026, for System And Method For Autonomous Soil Analysis.

Inventors include Koncha Lakshmi Prasanna; and Baloju Mahanth Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTONOMOUS SOIL ANALYSIS ABSTRACT An autonomous soil analysis system (100) for real-time diagnostics of soil conditions is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a sensor capsule (104) for deployment within a soil profile, a pH sensing unit (108) to measure soil acidity in-situ, a solid-state reference electrode (110) to stabilize the extrapolated pH values, a temperature sensing unit (112) to generate temperature data, a soil measurement probe (114) to simultaneously measure soil compaction, soil moisture data, and bulk density data, a penetration unit (116) to insert the sensor capsule (104) into soil. The system (100) is configured to acquire outputs, perform temperature compensation, combine pH values, the soil compaction data, the soil moisture data, the bulk density data, and depth data, identify concealed hardpan conditions, and generate soil degradation information. The system (100) is adapted for deployment across agricultural fields, plantations, greenhouse facilities, precision farming environments, research farms, and soil restoration regions.
