MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641093459 A) filed by Aditya Institute Of Technology And Management; T. Pooja; B. Usha Rani; and T. Nagamani on August 01, 2026, for System And Method For Autonomous Predictive Software Defect Prevention Using A Software Evolution Digital Twin.
Inventors include T. Pooja; B. Usha Rani; and T. Nagamani.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A system (100) and method (300) for autonomous predictive software defect prevention are provided. The system (100) includes one or more processors (108) and a memory (110) storing instructions that cause the system (100) to collect software lifecycle data from a plurality of data sources comprising a source code repository (102), a dependency registry (104), and a runtime telemetry system (106). The system (100) constructs a Software Evolution Digital Twin (112) based on the collected software lifecycle data, wherein the Software Evolution Digital Twin (112) comprises a graph-based representation of software entities and relationships among the software entities. The system (100) synchronizes the Software Evolution Digital Twin (112) in response to software lifecycle events, generates a defect prediction using a predictive model (114) trained on historical software evolution data, and outputs a recommendation for preventive action based on the defect prediction.
