MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611071105 A) filed by Delhi Technological University on June 08, 2026, for System And Method For Autonomous Assessment Of Security In A Target Network.
Inventors include Gaurav; Chaudhary, Sonam; and Mehra, Pawan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A system (100) and a method (700) for autonomous assessment of security in a target network is disclosed. The system (100) generates a machine-readable representation of the target network and autonomously determines testing objectives and security assessment actions. A learning module (114) develops decision policies through interactions with multiple network environments, while a knowledge transfer module (116) utilizes previously acquired knowledge to adapt the decision policies to new and different network environments without extensive retraining. An action execution module performs the selected actions and a feedback module evaluates outcomes to generate feedback indicative of action effectiveness. The learning module (114) continuously updates the decision policies based on the generated feedback, thereby improving assessment performance over time. The system enables automated identification and evaluation of security weaknesses across diverse network topologies, reduces assessment time, enhances adaptability to changing environments, and improves the efficiency and effectiveness of network security testing.
