MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521006957 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited on January 28, 2025, for System And Method For Automatic Load Transition In An Electric Vehicle.
Inventors include Krushna Darade; and Dinesh Mane.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to system and method for automatic load transition in an electric vehicle. The system comprises at least one Hight Voltage (HV) fuse coupled between a HV supply and at least one load, at least one auxiliary fuse coupled between the at least one load and the HV supply, a switch connected between a controller and the at least one auxiliary fuse and the controller electrically connected to the HV supply, the at least one HV fuse, the switch, and the at least one auxiliary fuse. The controller is configured to monitor an output voltage of the at least one HV fuse. The controller is configured to identify fuse blown state when the output voltage falls below a predetermined threshold. The controller is configured to transfer the at least one load coupled to the at least one HV fuse to the at least one auxiliary fuse by turning on the switch connecting the at least one auxiliary fuse and the controller.
