Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED SMART ENERGY BILLING AND USAGE ALERT USING IOT-ENABLED ESP32 CONTROLLER The invention discloses an IoT-based Automated Smart Energy Billing and Usage Alert System designed to monitor electricity consumption in real time, automatically calculate billing, and provide proactive alerts when usage exceeds predefined limits. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller with current and voltage sensors to ensure accurate measurement of power usage. Data is processed and displayed through a secure digital dashboard developed in Python using Streamlit, offering live consumption visualization, billing estimation, and historical tracking. Automated alerts are issued via buzzer alarms, on-screen warnings, or remote notifications, enabling users to adjust consumption behavior before incurring excessive charges. Daily usage data is stored in CSV format for offline access and report downloads. The invention is scalable, cost-effective, and applicable across households, hostels, offices, and small industries, promoting responsible electricity usage and supporting sustainable energy practices.
