MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641125351 A) filed by Subramaniam Kaliappa on October 21, 2026, for System And Method For Automated Precision Weight-Based Sorting, Selection, And Grouping Of Cone Yarn Packages.

Inventor includes Subramaniam Kaliappa.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED PRECISION WEIGHT-BASED SORTING, SELECTION AND GROUPING OF CONE YARN PACKAGES Individual cone yarn packages are conveyed to a precision weighing station (100) having a load-measuring balance (102) and moving weighing conveyor (113). A weighing controller (103) records each weight and a display (112)provides the weight information. An identification device/printer (104) may associate an identifier with the package. A second conveyor (105) transfers packages to independently controllable storage/sorting lanes C3-C13 (106). A common controller (107) associates each weight with its physical lane location and selects a required combination according to target weight, package count, tolerance and physical availability. Selected lanes discharge corresponding packages onto collection conveyor (109). The lanes classify packages by positive (+ve) or negative (-ve) weight deviation relative to the standard-weight reference lane C6, as illustrated in FIG. 3. The selected packages are transferred to orientation station (111), where pneumatic holding, lifting and rotary mechanisms reverse tapered cones for compact downstream packing.
