MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076637 A) filed by Clofus Innovations Private Limited on June 20, 2026, for System And Method For Automated Adaptive Counting, Multi-Signal Verification With Batch Consensus Learning.

Inventors include Karthik Balu; and Priya Karthik.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: An automated counting and verification system for inventory auditing comprises a scanning tunnel housing a controlled-colour conveyor belt driven by an electronically controllable motor, a camera, optionally a load cell and a dimension measurement system, a label printer, signalling devices, and an edge processing unit. The processing unit detects items by comparing patch-level visual embeddings of each captured frame against a learned belt appearance model computed by a self- supervised vision transformer, and computes for each detected item a visual appearance signature from one or more visual descriptors. Items accumulated during a session form a batch consensus profile; subsequent items consistent with the profile are automatically confirmed and counted, whereas deviating items are flagged for operator inspection or cause the conveyor to halt. The system advances automatically, per material, through short-term, long-term and permanent memory tiers, and optionally coordinates with automated storage-and-retrieval and enterprise resource planning systems.
