MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621099113 A) filed by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed To Be University College Of Engineering, Pune on August 17, 2026, for System And Method For Assessing Risk Of Intellectual Disability.
Inventors include Akshada Dighe; and Bindu Garg.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING RISK OF INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY The present invention relates to a system (100) and a method (200) for assessing the risk of intellectual disability in a user. The system (100) comprises a multimodal data acquisition interface (102) configured to acquire structural neurological data, functional neurological data, and clinical data, at least one processor (104) configured to preprocess the acquired data, generate structural, temporal neurological, and clinical feature data, adaptively fuse the generated feature data to obtain a unified multimodal feature representation, determine an optimized feature subset using a Grey Wolf Optimization algorithm, and generate a probability-based intellectual disability risk prediction using an artificial neural network, and a monitoring interface (106) configured to receive updated data and evaluation feedback for iterative prediction refinement. The method (200) comprises acquiring (202), preprocessing (204), feature generation (206–210), adaptive fusion (212), feature optimization (214), prediction generation (216), and outputting (218) an intellectual disability risk score. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
