MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621079480 A) filed by Janhavi Naik; and Amol D. Pawar on June 28, 2026, for System And Method For Artificial Intelligence Based Constructional Defect Assessment And Recommendation.

Inventors include Janhavi Naik; and Amol D. Pawar.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BASED CONSTRUCTIONAL DEFECT ASSESSMENT AND RECOMMENDATION Disclosed is a system (100) for artificial intelligence based constructional defect assessment and recommendation. The system (100) includes a user device (102), configured to receive one or more inputs associated with a construction site. The system (100) further includes a processing circuitry (110) communicatively coupled to the user device (102) and a storage unit (112), and configured to receive one or more images associated with the construction site, process and identify using trained machine learning models to identify constructional defects. The identified constructional defects are categorized and one or more possible root causes are identified. The processing circuitry (110) further generates a defect assessment output, one or more rectification techniques and one or more repair suggestive procedures for the identified defects. The system (100) further enables expert validation of generated recommendations and generates a digital inspection report containing defect assessment, repair guidance, compliance information, and preventive maintenance recommendations. Figure 1 will be the reference.
