Inventors include Raja, Avinash Ravi; Kokila, Gaurav; and Kumari, Anushka.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: An air quality monitoring system (100) comprises a sensor unit (102) having environmental sensors configured to acquire environmental data comprising at least particulate matter concentration. A processing unit (104) is coupled to the sensor unit (102) and configured to collect the environmental data, transmit the environmental data to a remote server, and receive processed information from the remote server. The remote server is configured to receive the environmental data, apply a time-series forecasting model to generate a predicted pollutant value, compute a residual value representing a difference between the predicted pollutant value and an actual measured pollutant value, apply a health scoring model to the residual value to generate a sensor health index indicative of operational reliability of the sensor unit (102), and generate a predictive maintenance alert when the sensor health index falls below a predefined threshold.
