MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611097617 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Kurukshetra on August 12, 2026, for System And Method For Agent-Less Security Assessment Of A Computer Infrastructure.
Inventors include Shahi, Aniket; Patel, Archana; and Jain, Sarika.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a system (104) for agent-less security assessment of a computer infrastructure (100). The system (104) obtains telemetry parameters from one or more devices (102) within the computer infrastructure (100) through coordinated use of native administrative communication protocols. The telemetry parameters comprise hardware inventory data, installed software data, running process data, system service data, user account data, and network and security configuration data. The system (104) correlates the telemetry parameters against a vulnerability intelligence dataset to identify security vulnerabilities associated with the devices. The system (104) maps selected telemetry parameters to adversarial tactics defined in a predefined attack framework using a deterministic rule set and generates a pre-exploitation adversarial exposure profile. A composite risk score is determined based on the identified security vulnerabilities and the adversarial exposure profile. The system (104) generates a security assessment report indicating the security posture of the computer infrastructure (100).
