MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411097016 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group AG on December 09, 2024, for System And Method For Adjusting Operation Of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Associated With A Vehicle.
Inventors include Deepanjan Saha; Varun Rao; and Bharath Bhat.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (102) and a method (600) for adjusting an operation of an ADAS function associated with a vehicle. The method (600) includes receiving (602) parameters and determining (604) that a value of the parameters exceeds a predefined range. Further, the method (600) includes activating (606) features associated with the vehicle and determining (608) a time window. Further, the method (600) includes receiving (610) first inputs from a user within the time window and receiving (612) second inputs received from sensors. Further, the method (600) includes adjusting (614) the operation of the ADAS function with respect to the activation of the features. Therefore, the system (102) and method (600) address the limitation of fixed sensitivity settings in existing systems, which frequently lead to inaccurate detections. By dynamically adjusting sensitivity based on real-time driver behaviour and traffic conditions, the present disclosure effectively reduces false positives.
