Inventors include Dr. Prachi Tripathi; and Ranjana Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE RADIO FREQUENCY IMPAIRMENT DETECTOR FIELD RECALIBRATION An adaptive radio frequency impairment monitoring and field recalibration system (100) is disclosed. A signal acquisition unit (110) captures live radio frequency signals, and a feature extraction module (120) generates a detector-agnostic descriptor vector applicable across multiple impairment classes. A drift estimation engine (140) computes a real-time drift value as a weighted combination of a distance metric and a percentile-exceedance count against a stored reference fingerprint. A confidence decay scoring module (150) generates a decaying confidence score for an active impairment detector (200), while a recalibration trigger controller (160) autonomously initiates field recalibration through a validated on-device recalibration engine (180), without requiring labelled out-of-distribution data. A fallback detector ensemble switch (190) performs a bumpless handover to a diversity-selected reserve detector when confidence collapses before recalibration completes, ensuring continuous and reliable impairment detection under changing field conditions.
