MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611059072 A) filed by Samtel Avionics Ltd on May 08, 2026, for System And Method For Adaptive Brightness Stabilization Of A Liquid Crystal Display Backlight.

Inventors include Rajesh Narang; Ullash Kumar Barik; Akhilesh Yadav; and Naresh Kumar Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: A system and method for adaptive brightness stabilization of a liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight is disclosed. The method includes generating, via one or more temperature sensors, temperature data indicative of an operating temperature of a backlight assembly comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged to illuminate an LCD panel. The method further includes determining cumulative operating time of the plurality of LEDs and determining a degradation factor based on the cumulative operating time and one or more stored degradation profiles. A brightness correction coefficient is computed based on the temperature data and the degradation factor using a predefined relationship. The method further includes controlling operation of the plurality of LEDs by adjusting one or more drive parameters based on the brightness correction coefficient to maintain a target luminance of the LCD panel.
