Inventors include M. Jayamanmadha Rao; Dasari Yugandhar; and Venkumahanti Ashok Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an adaptive 5G/6G signaling translation system and method for facilitating interoperability between heterogeneous wireless communication networks. The system comprises a 5G network (102), a 6G network (116), and a 6G adaptor component (108) communicatively coupled between a 5G distributed unit (106) and a 6G radio unit (114). The 6G adaptor component (108) comprises a 5G F1 interface (202), a 6G F1 interface (204), an input/output interface (206), a 5G-to-6G translation module (208), a 6G-to-5G translation module (210), and a processor (212). A memory (214), a protocol handler (216), and a configuration manager (218) support translation operations. The 6G adaptor component (108) receives signaling, detects transmission parameters, performs bidirectional translation between 5G and 6G signaling formats, and forwards translated signaling through an F1 interface, thereby enabling progressive coexistence and migration between network generations.
