The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: An intelligent academic advisory system (100) for recommending courses to a student based on academic data is disclosed. The system comprises a processor (102) and a memory (104) storing instructions executable by the processor. The processor receives student academic data including grade history and course records, and processes syllabus data using natural language processing to extract concepts, prerequisites, and learning outcomes. The system generates a Knowledge Signature comprising a feature vector representing concept mastery and prerequisite readiness of the student. The Knowledge Signature is compared with requirements of one or more courses to evaluate alignment. A machine learning model predicts a probability of success for the one or more courses based on the generated feature vector. The system generates one or more course recommendations along with explanatory information, including suitability and identified knowledge gaps, thereby enabling informed academic decision-making.
