MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621088302 A) filed by Persistent Systems Limited on July 20, 2026, for System And Method For A Search And Optimization Engine For Agentic Workflow Generation.
Inventors include Mr. Nitish Shrivastava; and Mr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A search and optimization engine (100) automatically generates and searches candidate agentic workflow graphs over a constrained workflow search space and graph grammar (110). A candidate generator (120) applies valid graph and assignment transformations to seed and incumbent workflows. A compiler and validator (130) enforce type compatibility, policy eligibility, and bounded termination. A multi-fidelity evaluator (140) predicts distributions of cost, quality, latency, and risk using analytic estimators, learned surrogates, a workflow digital twin, and historical replay, allocating evaluation by successive halving. A pruning and equivalence module (150) removes hard-infeasible, dominated, and behaviorally equivalent candidates using canonical graph hashing and subgraph memorization. A Pareto archive (160) maintains non-dominated designs across objectives. A search controller (180) drives the process using beam search, evolutionary search, Bayesian optimization, Monte Carlo tree search, or mixed-integer optimization, returning a selected workflow graph and the archive for deployment.
