The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and portable device for automated detection, classification, geolocation, and reporting of road anomalies. The invention utilizes a visual sensing subsystem, an inertial sensing subsystem, a positioning subsystem, a processing subsystem, and a communication subsystem configured to operate collaboratively for continuous road condition monitoring. Visual road surface information and inertial motion data are acquired and processed through sensor fusion techniques to improve anomaly detection accuracy. Artificial intelligence models classify detected anomalies according to severity levels, while geolocation information associates each anomaly with a corresponding geographic position. The system supports local data storage and adaptive communication modes including real-time transmission, delayed transmission, and opportunistic upload through available wireless networks. The invention provides a scalable, portable, and cost- effective solution suitable for deployment on vehicles, fleet systems, municipal infrastructure, and transportation monitoring networks, thereby enabling continuous infrastructure assessment, maintenance prioritization, and intelligent road condition management.
