Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM, WELDING HEAD ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD FOR HEXAGONAL MESH WELDING Disclosed are a system, a welding head assembly, and a method for hexagonal mesh welding. The system 100 comprises a gas metal arc welding (GMAW) machine 102 mounted on a carriage, a welding head assembly 108, one or more servo drives 103, one or more servo motors 104, a PLC 101, an HMI 105, a profile scan sensor 106, and a profile scan sensor controller 107. The welding head assembly 108 consists of a welding head enclosure 1, a welding torch 2, a pilot guide 3, a spring-loaded plunger 4, a DC motor 6, and a mounting bracket 7. The system 100 determines the maximum width for each hexagonal cell and calculates the center thereof to achieve precise and uniform welding by ensuring the welding torch 2 movement remains concentric with the hexagonal profile. The invention reduces scanning time and increases throughput. [
