Abstract: A stable synergistic insecticidal composition comprising (A) Emamectin benzoate in an amount of 1% to 10% by weight; (B) a diamide insecticide selected from Chlorantraniliprole and Cyantraniliprole in an amount of 1% to 20% by weight; (C) a tetramic acid insecticide selected from Spidoxamat, Spiropidion and Spirotetramat in an amount of 1% to 20% by weight; and (D) one or more agrochemically acceptable excipients in an amount of 50% to 97% by weight, components (A) to (D) together constituting 100% by weight. Every ternary proportion evaluated is synergistic by the method of Colby, whereas no binary combination of the same active ingredients is. The composition provides pest control substantially exceeding that of its individual active ingredients and of their binary combinations, permits a reduced dose, acts rapidly, and remains stable after storage at 54 degrees C for 14 days. A process for its preparation is also disclosed.
