Abstract: ABSTRACT SYNERGISTIC INSECTICIDAL COMBINATION OF PROFENOFOS AND ETHIPROLE The present invention relates to a novel synergistic insecticidal composition comprising profenofos and ethiprole formulated as an oil dispersion (OD). The oil dispersion formulation provides improved physicochemical stability, enhanced spreading and penetration on plant surfaces, and superior biological efficacy. The combination of profenofos and ethiprole exhibits synergistic insecticidal activity against a broad spectrum of economically important insect pests, including leaf folder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis), brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens), white-backed planthopper (Sogatella furcifera), and thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis). The invention further relates to methods for controlling insect pests by applying an effective amount of the composition to plants, plant parts, soil, or seeds, and to the use of the composition for protecting crops and seeds from insect infestation while potentially reducing the overall active ingredient load and delaying the development of insect resistance.
