Abstract: ABSTRACT SYNERGISTIC INSECTICIDAL COMBINATION OF INDOXACARB AND LAMBDA-CYHALOTHRIN The present invention relates to a novel synergistic insecticidal composition comprising indoxacarb and lambda-cyhalothrin formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC). The invention further relates to methods for controlling insect pests in and on plants, protecting crops from infestation, and treating seeds to prevent pest damage. The composition contains indoxacarb and lambda-cyhalothrin as active ingredients, providing a dual mode of action. Indoxacarb acts as a voltage-gated sodium channel blocker, disrupting nerve impulse transmission in insects, leading to paralysis and death. Lambda-cyhalothrin, a pyrethroid insecticide, interferes with the gating mechanism of sodium channels and affects nicotinic receptor function, resulting in hyperexcitation of insect nerve cells followed by paralysis and mortality. The combined action produces a synergistic effect, enhancing insecticidal efficacy beyond that achieved by either compound alone.
