Pauline on June 02, 2026, for Synergistic Effects Of Tio2/Yig/Activated Varbon, cnt And Rgo Hybrid Nanocomposites For Heavy Metal Adsorption..

Inventors include Dr. M. Asisi Janifer; Dr. M. Muralidharan; and Dr. S. Pauline.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: In the present study, the adsorption performance of TiOz/Y,Fes012/[rG, CNT, AC] composites was systematically investigated for the removal of heavy metal ions, including chromium, copper, and lead. The successful coexistence of titania, yttrium iron garnet (YIG), and carbonaceous materials was confirmed through comprehensive characterization analyses. Techniques such as X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman spectroscopy, High- Resolution Scanning Electron Microscopy (HRSEM), Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDAX), High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR- TEM), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) were employed to examine the crystal structure, surface morphology, elemental composition, and chemical states of the synthesized samples. The adsorption efficiency of the composites toward chromium, lead, and copper ions was evaluated using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The experimental adsorption data were analyzed using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models to elucidate the surface characteristics and adsorption behavior of the materials.
