MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611080500 A) filed by Shiv Prasad Sahani on June 30, 2026, for Synergistic Bio- Based Enzyme And Nutrient Composition For Improving Fermentation Efficiency And Ethanol Yield.

Inventor includes Shiv Prasad Sahani.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bio-based fermentation nutrient composition, herein designated as NBoost FE, comprising a synergistic blend of bio-derived nitrogen sources, enzyme complexes, macro and micronutrients, and functional additives. The composition is specifically formulated to replace or substantially reduce the use of synthetic nitrogen and phosphorus sources, including urea, ammonia, and diammonium phosphate, in industrial fermentation systems. The enzyme complexes, comprising amylases, proteases, cellulases, and phytases, facilitate in-situ hydrolysis of complex substrates, thereby enhancing nutrient bioavailability and enabling efficient microbial assimilation. The composition improves yeast metabolic activity, reduces lag phase, accelerates fermentation kinetics, and increases ethanol yield. Additionally, the invention reduces residual nutrient load and effluent discharge, thereby minimizing environmental impact. The composition is compatible with molasses-based, grainbased, and lignocellulosic fermentation processes and is adaptable to various industrial conditions. The invention provides a sustainable, efficient, and scalable alternative to conventional fermentation nutrient systems.
