MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641105138 A) filed by Dr. R. Deepa; Dr. K. A. Vijayalakshmi; and Dr. S. Saveetha on September 01, 2026, for Symmetric Supercapacitor Pouch Cell Fabricated From Separately Plasma Treated Zno/Nio@csac Nano Composite.

Inventors include Dr. R. Deepa; Dr. K. A. Vijayalakshmi; and Dr. S. Saveetha.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a symmetric supercapacitor pouch cell (100) comprising a plasma-treated ZnO/NiO@CSAC composite. The system includes a coconut-shell activated carbon preparation unit (102), a carbon activation unit (104), an activated carbon plasma treatment unit (106), a zinc and nickel precursor preparation unit (108), a hydrothermal ZnO/NiO synthesis unit (110), a ZnO/NiO nanoparticle plasma treatment unit (112), a composite formation unit (114), an electrode fabrication unit (116), an electrolyte incorporation unit (118), a pouch cell assembly unit (120), and a charge-discharge evaluation unit (122). The ZnO/NiO nanoparticles and coconut-shell activated carbon are separately plasma treated and combined at a substantially 1:1 ratio to form the ZnO/NiO@CSAC composite, which is used to fabricate substantially similar electrodes for the symmetric pouch cell (100). The invention enhances electrolyte interaction, charge transfer and electrochemical charge- storage performance. The symmetric supercapacitor pouch cell (100) is applicable to portable electronics, renewable-energy systems, power-management systems and other energy-storage applications.
