The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a swing-operation system and method for recovery of plastic material from plastic waste. The system comprises a first vessel, a second vessel directly connected to the first vessel through a common condenser, and one or more heating arrangements. The vessels are configured to alternately function as a reactor vessel and a solvent collection vessel during successive recovery cycles. Plastic waste is dissolved in a solvent, followed by solvent evaporation, condensation and collection in the other vessel, and precipitation of recovered plastic material. In subsequent cycles, the operational functions of the vessels are reversed. The system enables cyclic recovery and reuse of solvent in a closed-loop arrangement. The disclosed system reduces intermediate solvent transfer operations, improves utilization of thermal energy associated with recovered solvent, enables cyclic or semi-continuous operation, and facilitates recovery of plastic material in fine particulate form.
