Abstract: A swimming assistive device for disabled users, comprising a L-shaped plate 101 developed to cover a user’s leg from thigh to ankle, an ultrasonic sensor detects dimensions of the user’s leg, plurality of straps 102 provide secure fit around the user’s leg, a pair of contour grip panels 103 ensures a secure and comfortable fit, a microphone 104 enables the user to provide input voice commands regarding requirement of assistance in swimming in a swimming pool, an artificial intelligence- based imaging unit 105 detect depth of the swimming pool, a swivel connector applies an optimum force to the user’s foot while swimming, a hydro-thrust unit 106 integrated generates optimum thrust, a motion tracking unit monitors movement of the user in the water, a motorized pivot joint provides controlled ankle movements to aid in directional changes while swimming.
