Abstract: The present disclosure provides a suture retention apparatus (100) for hemostatic management in venous access procedures. The apparatus includes a casing (101) defining an internal cavity, a puller shaft (102) movably disposed within the cavity, a rotational shaft (106) operably connected to the puller shaft (102), and a sliding cap (104) operably connected to the rotational shaft (106). A plurality of engagement holes (107, 108, 109) are formed through the casing (101), puller shaft (102), and rotational shaft (106) for guiding a suture. A helical groove (110) is formed on the rotational shaft's outer surface, and a guide channel (111) in the casing interacts with the rotational shaft (106). The sliding cap (104) is configured to engage with the helical groove (110).
