Abstract: ABSTRACT: Sustainable System and Method for Manufacturing Biodegradable Cardboard, and Artisan Craft Paper from Corn Husk Extraction Waste. This invention describes a system and method for producing cardboard, and paper products from corn husk agricultural waste. In the disclosed process, dried corn husks are soaked in water, retted for a selected duration, scrubbed to remove gummy and residual matter, and washed to obtain usable fibrous material. The extracted fibers and sticky pulp fractions containing hemicellulose and natural binding constituents are mechanically processed into a viscous pulp slurry. The slurry is spread on a deckle or mesh screen to form sheets, followed by dewatering, pressing, and controlled drying to obtain rigid board or paper products of varying thickness and GSM. The formed products may further be dyed using natural dye compositions including haldi, katha, and harde to improve aesthetic and commercial value. The invention converts agricultural waste into biodegradable, ecofriendly, and marketable sheet materials while reducing reliance on wood pulp and supporting circular economy practices.
