Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a sustainable interlocking geopolymer paver block incorporating a mechanically optimized edge geometry and a low-carbon binder system derived from industrial by-products. The block comprises a substantially square or polygonal body with zigzag or arrow-shaped projections and complementary recesses on all sides, enabling mechanical interlocking and enhanced load distribution. The geopolymer binder is formed through alkaline activation of fly ash and optionally GGBS using sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate solutions. The developed paver block exhibits high compressive strength, low water absorption, and improved durability. The invention eliminates the need for conventional cement, reduces carbon emissions, and enhances pavement stability, making it suitable for sustainable infrastructure applications.
