Abstract: ABSTRACT: Sustainable Concrete Canvas Mat Using Cotton-Based Reinforced Spacer Fabric System This invention describes an environmentally sustainable concrete canvas mat system designed for rapid deployment in civil and infrastructure applications. The system comprises a flexible composite structure incorporating biodegradable cotton-based three-dimensional spacer reinforcement and an encapsulated dry cementitious matrix. Upon application of water, the system undergoes controlled hydration, transforming into a rigid, load-bearing concrete layer while maintaining uniform thickness and structural integrity. The design enables efficient load distribution and conformity to irregular surfaces prior to curing. Unlike conventional systems utilizing synthetic polymeric reinforcements, the present invention significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and eliminates microplastic pollution, thereby enhancing environmental compatibility. The system is particularly suitable for erosion control, slope stabilization, canal lining, embankment protection, and emergency repair works. By integrating sustainability with functional performance and rapid deployability, the invention provides an eco- friendly and efficient alternative to traditional concrete canvas technologies.
