MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611115869 A) filed by Dr. Ayush Singhal on September 28, 2026, for Surveillance System With Dual-Resolution Face Identification, Weapon Detection And Radio- Frequency Remote Alarm.
Inventors include Ayush Singhal; and Dr. Nidhi Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A surveillance system (100) processes camera frames (114) in a processing unit (120) having parallel face identification (130) and weapon detection (150) branches. The face branch detects faces on a down-sampled frame (116), tracks them with a motion-prediction filter, crops each face patch (121) from the full-resolution frame, computes an embedding vector, compares it with a reference database (140), and issues an identity alert only when similarity accumulated in a per-track score store (138) exceeds a threshold. The weapon branch applies a single-stage convolutional detector (151), trained with weapon and confusion-object classes, to the full- resolution frame. Alerts pass over a serial interface (212) to a microcontroller (210) that keys a radio-frequency transmitter (220). At a remote monitoring location, a receiver unit (300) decodes the code and switches an alarm sounder (340) through a logic-level transistor switch (332) with gate and pull-down resistors (334, 336), independently of the internet.
