MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511012761 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 14, 2025, for Sunbathing Assistive Device.
Inventors include Dr. Sanjay Kumar; and Dr. Satyavir Singh.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A sunbathing assistive device, comprises of a frame 101 positioned over a surface, wheel 102 is installed beneath each of the member to provide translation to the frame 101, ring 104 is accessed by a user to position face over ring 104 for support surface, a microphone 106 installed over frame 101 to receive voice command regrading inclination angle of frame 101, a hydraulic rod 103 installed between each of member and frame 101 to extend and retract to incline frame 101, an imaging unit 107 installed over frame 101 for capturing images to determines distance of user’s face from surface, springs to retract in view of lifting ring 104 from surface, and a UV index sensor installed over the frame 101 to monitor UV index, a speaker 108 installed over frame 101 to notify the user regarding the time duration for sunbathing.
