Abstract: ABSTRACT SUBSTITUTED CIPROFLOXACIN-BASED QUINOLONE COMPOUNDS AS ANTIBACTERIAL AGENTS 5 10 15 20 25 The present invention relates to substituted ciprofloxacin compounds, methods for their preparation, and their antimicrobial applications. The invention provides a simple, cost-effective, scalable, and industry-feasible method for synthesizing ciprofloxacin derivatives through substitution at the piperazinyl moiety, including N-acyl, N-alkyl, N- aryl, Amide, Mannich bases and Schiff bases. The synthesized compounds exhibit enhanced antibacterial and anti-MRSA activity compared to the parent ciprofloxacin. These substituted ciprofloxacin compounds are intended for use as effective antimicrobial agents, particularly against bacterial and MRSA infections.
