Abstract: A subscriber identity module (SIM) with secure element SE for user authentication is disclosed. The SIM includes one or more SEs configured to provide authentication data, a first communication interface to provide wired connectivity with a processor of an electronic device, and a second communication interface to provide wireless connectivity and configured to provide the authentication data wirelessly from the one or more SEs to the processor of the electronic device, to another electronic device, or to a server configured to verify the authentication data. The sever receives the authentication data comprising a first one-time run signature (OTRS). The server generates a second OTRS for the user and compares with the first OTRS. Based on the comparison, the server generates a positive acknowledgment when the first OTRS matches with the second OTRS and performs at least one action based on the generated positive acknowledgement.
