Abstract: The present invention relates to a submersible pump (100). The submersible pump (100) comprises a pump assembly (110) coupled to a motor assembly (120) along a longitudinal axis, the motor assembly (120) having a rotor shaft (101) extending therethrough to drive the pump assembly (110). A suction casing (10) is arranged at a suction end of the pump assembly (110). A bracket (20) fixed to the suction casing (10) includes a central hole (21) for passage of the rotor shaft (101) and an oil chamber (22) filled with sealing oil. A sealing arrangement positioned within the bracket (20) includes a mechanical seal (28), an oil seal plate (30), and an oil seal (40), wherein the mechanical seal (28) is received in the hole (21), and the oil seal (40) mounted in a bore (31) of the oil seal plate (30) has an elastomeric lip (41) oriented toward a fluid source.
