MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511001037 A) filed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited on January 06, 2025, for Structural Provisioning For Installation Of A Radar Antenna On An Aircraft.

Abstract: This invention is about structural provisioning developed for installation of a Radar antenna assembly (2). Radar antenna assembly (2) is installed on aircraft structure (1) using a Mounting plate (4). Mounting plate (4) is having a cut-out (15) to suit the profile of Gimbal assembly (11). The mounting plate (4) is attached between two bottom centre part of both frames (7) & at one side with aircraft seat rail web (8). Aircraft seat rail web (8) for installation of radar antenna assembly (2) is reinforced with four C channels (1 0) to absorb the aircraft loads. Mounting plate (4) is provided with five slots (16) of oval cross section for egress of heat generated from radar antenna assembly
