Abstract: TITLE: STRESS-REDUCING MICROSCOPE SLIDE STORAGE BOX WITH OPTIMIZED WIDER SLOTS FOR BONDED DOUBLE-THICKNESS SLIDES APPLICANT: 1. MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH 2. MEENAKSHI AMMAL DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a stress-reducing microscope slide storage box with optimized wider slots for accommodating repaired double-thickness microscope slides. The storage box comprises a housing, a plurality of storage slots, at least one wider slot, partition walls, a slot base, and a housing cover. The wider slot is dimensioned in the range of 1.5 mm to 3.0 mm for receiving a repaired microscope slide formed by bonding a first glass slide to a second glass slide using an adhesive layer, thereby producing a reinforced double-thickness slide. The partition walls maintain separation between adjacent slides, while the wider slot provides sufficient clearance to reduce lateral compressive stress during insertion and removal. The arrangement minimizes frictional resistance, edge chipping, adhesive bond failure, secondary fracture, and re-breakage. The storage box enables organized storage, safe handling, transport, insertion, removal, and retrieval of conventional and repaired microscope slides in pathology, histology, cytology, diagnostic, research, and other laboratory environments.
