The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a straddled vehicle provided with a high-voltage hybrid system which is small in size and is lightweight, and can cope with a rotational speed range of a straddled vehicle engine. This straddled vehicle is provided with an engine, a drive wheel, a high-voltage power-supply system, a permanent magnet type motor generator, and a high-voltage power storage device. An MG control device performs, on the permanent magnet type motor generator having a rotor which rotates at the same speed as the engine of the straddled vehicle and in which the number of magnetic poles in the permanent magnet type motor generator is more than 2/3 of the number of teeth, a field-weakening control of setting, as a power supply, a high voltage that is higher than a low voltage of a low voltage battery, so as to supply, to a winding, a current component of the field-weakening control through overcoming of the reluctance that increases in a high rotation range of the engine in the straddled vehicle, by the field-weakening control of setting the high voltage as the power supply while increasing the amount of voltage suppression caused by the field-weakening control due to an increase in the reluctance resulting from an increase in the magnetic poles.
