MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641104405 A) filed by Ishaan Chowdhri on August 31, 2026, for Stormsaver - A Climate-Informed Anticipatory Budgeting System For Weather-Driven Expenditure Smoothing In Indian Households.

Inventor includes Ishaan Chowdhri.

The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for anticipatory household budgeting based on geographically localized weather and seasonal climate forecasts. The system comprises a data ingestion module configured to receive geographically resolved meteorological forecast data; an expenditure profiling module configured to process transaction records and determine user-specific historical expenditure patterns; a prediction engine configured to correlate historical meteorological conditions with corresponding variations in expenditure and estimate weather-attributable expenditure variations for a forthcoming period; and a recommendation module configured to generate anticipatory savings allocations and pre-event notifications based on predicted expenditure requirements associated with forecasted weather conditions. The prediction engine determines expected expenditure deviations from a baseline spending profile by evaluating relationships between historical weather events and corresponding expenditure behaviour. Based on the determined deviations, the recommendation module generates one or more fund-allocation recommendations for reallocating available financial resources in advance of a predicted weather-driven expenditure increase. The system is further configured to dynamically update the predicted expenditure requirements, savings allocations, and notifications in response to refreshed meteorological forecast data. The invention thereby provides adaptive and forecast-responsive household financial planning for managing anticipated weather-associated variations in household expenditure.
