Inventors include Mr. Akash Vikal; Md Afzal Rain; Mr. Samarendra Singh; Md Farhan Raza; Sofinur Ahmed; Dr. Rohit Bangwal; Mr. Issac V Cherain; and Sheikh Mohammad Faisal.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to multifunctional targeted nanovesicular drug delivery system for the selective treatment of solid tumors. The formulation comprises a hybrid lipid-polymer nanovesicle incorporating a biodegradable polymer matrix, phospholipids, membrane-stabilizing lipids, and a hydrophilic surface-modifying component. The nanovesicles are functionalized with one or more tumor-targeting ligands capable of recognizing overexpressed receptors on malignant cells. The carrier is engineered to remain stable under physiological conditions while exhibiting controlled drug release in response to tumor-associated stimuli, including acidic pH, elevated intracellular reducing agents, enzymatic activity, or reactive oxygen species. The formulation is capable of encapsulating one or more therapeutic agents selected from chemotherapeutics, nucleic acids, proteins, peptides, or immunotherapeutics. The system enhances tumor accumulation, improves intracellular delivery, overcomes biological barriers and multidrug resistance, reduces systemic toxicity, and increases therapeutic efficacy. The invention further encompasses methods of preparation, pharmaceutical compositions, and methods for treating solid tumors using the disclosed nanovesicular system.
