Abstract: TITLE: STERILE REMOVABLE AND AUTOCLAVABLE DENTAL CHAIR-MOUNTED INSTRUMENT HOLDER FOR CLINICAL DENTAL PROCEDURES APPLICANT: 1.SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH 2. INDHIRA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES 3. MAHATMA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE 4. SHRI SATHYA SAI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a dental chair mounted instrument holder comprising: a. a screw fixed base plate fabricated from medical grade stainless steel, permanently or semi permanently affixed to a utility tray arm of a dental chair to provide stable anchorage; b. a removable autoclavable holder insert mounted on base plate, the insert formed of medical grade silicone and configured to withstand repeated sterilization cycles; c. a plurality of vertical instrument slots integrated within the holder insert, each slot dimensioned to grip only the handle portion of a diagnostic dental instrument selected from a mouth mirror, probe, explorer, and tweezers, while suspending both the working end and non working end in air without surface contact; d. a suspension mechanism defined by slot geometry, preventing instruments from touching the bottom of the holder, surrounding surfaces, or adjacent instruments, thereby maintaining asepsis during clinical use. Accordingly, the present invention provides a removable and autoclavable dental chair mounted instrument holder that facilitates aseptic storage, convenient chairside access, and reduced cross-contamination of diagnostic dental instruments during clinical procedures.
