MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617081689 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation on July 02, 2026, for Steel Sheet.
Inventors include Suzuki, Masahito; Hikida, Kazuo; and Akizuki, Makoto.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: Provided is a steel sheet that has exceptional quenching properties and exceptional cold-working properties. A steel sheet according to the present disclosure contains, in mass%, 0.15-0.50% of C, 0.01-0.50% of Si, 0.20-1.30% of Mn, 0.100% or less of P, 0.100% or less of S, 0.100% or less of Al, 0.01-1.20% of Cr, and 0.0150% or less of N, the balance being Fe and impurities. In the steel sheet: the total area ratio of ferrite and cementite particles is 95% or higher; the average particle diameter of the ferrite is 5.0-20.0 µm; the Cr concentration [Cr]? and the Mo concentration [Mo]? in the cementite particles satisfy expression (1); the average particle diameter of the cementite particles is 1.50 µm or less; the spheroidization ratio of the cementite particles is not less than 70% but less than 85%; and the degree of dispersity DI of the number of cementite particles in minute square segments in which each side measures 10 µm is 45% or less, the degree of dispersity DI being defined by expression (2). Expression (1): 2[Cr]? + 3[Mo]? = 3/vC Expression (2): DI = s?/N? × 100
