Abstract: A steel material bending amount calculation method for calculating the bending amount of a steel material rolled by a rolling machine, the method comprising: an imaging step for imaging a longitudinal tip section of the steel material on the exit side of the rolling machine by using an imaging device for imaging the steel material from above or below at the exit side of the rolling machine; an extraction step for extracting a shape related to left and right ends at the longitudinal direction tip section from the image of the longitudinal tip section of the steel material obtained through imaging; and a calculation step for calculating the difference in the longitudinal position and/or the difference in the left-right position between the left and right ends on the basis of the extracted shape.
