Abstract: ABSTRACT STATE OF CHARGE CALCULATION USING ENHANCED COULOMB COUNTING METHOD (ECCM) A method (300) and system (100) for estimating a State of Charge (SOC) of a battery (102) is disclosed. Real-time data is acquired from the battery via at least one sensor coupled to the battery. Voltage and temperature data from a plurality of cells are processed using a moving average voltage function, and an Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) is estimated for each cell to obtain a first pack-level SOC. Current measurements are filtered using a moving average current filter and integrated over time with capacity and State of Health (SOH) information to obtain a second SOC from enhanced coulomb counting. A filtering algorithm combines the first and second SOC values to generate a calibrated SOC that compensates for drift and accumulated errors. A display SOC value is then dynamically recalibrated based on the calibrated SOC and a stored SOC value, thereby providing a stable and accurate user-visible indication thereof.
