The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT STATE OF CHARGE (SoC) BASED REGENERATIVE BRAKING RESPONSE OF A VEHICLE 5 A state of charge (SoC) of a battery pack of a vehicle is estimated, wherein the estimated SoC corresponds to a measure of a battery capacity available in the battery pack. Based on the estimated SoC, a charge current limit for the battery pack is determined. A brake input is obtained based on actuation of a brake control of the vehicle. A regenerative braking torque to 10 be applied to a motor is determined based on the estimated SoC and the brake input, wherein the regenerative braking torque generates a charge current for charging the battery pack. The charge current is compared with the charge current limit of the battery pack. The regenerative braking torque is adjusted when the charge current exceeds the charge current limit. 15 Instructions are generated to apply the regenerative braking torque to the motor to decelerate the vehicle.
