Abstract: The present invention discloses a standardized plant-based antidiabetic composition comprising an extract of Linum usitatissimum seed material and a process for preparation thereof. The composition comprises a mucilage-rich polysaccharide fraction and a lignan-phenolic enriched fraction combined in a predetermined ratio to provide reproducible glycemic modulation. The mucilage-rich fraction is obtained by aqueous extraction of Linum usitatissimum seed material, while the lignan- phenolic enriched fraction is obtained by hydroalcoholic extraction of residual seed material. The fractions are concentrated, standardized, recombined, and dried to obtain a stable extract suitable for oral dosage forms including powder, tablet, capsule, granule, sachet, or suspension. The composition is configured to inhibit carbohydrate-hydrolyzing enzymes, delay glucose absorption, reduce oxidative stress, and support insulin-responsive metabolic pathways. The invention provides a reproducible and stable botanical antidiabetic formulation having improved consistency compared to crude Linum usitatissimum seed powder. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2]
