Abstract: A stair climbing assistive device, comprising an elongated body 101 positioned on a ground surface, an extendable rod 103 installed on the body 101 for positioning a rectangular platform 104 arranged on the rod 103 over the surface to accommodate the user’s feet, a microphone 105 integrated in the body 101 for enabling a user to provide input voice command, an imaging unit 106 installed on the body 101 to determine distance of first stair from the surface, an extendable L-shaped link 107 mounted on the body 101 for positioning a suction cup 108 installed on the link 107 against the surface for adhering to the stair’s surface, plurality of extendable bars 109 arranged underneath the platform 104 for supporting the platform 104 on the surface and a speaker 110 installed on the body 101 to produce audio signals for guiding the user to adjust the force.
